VIVIENNE WESTWOOD: THIS IS NOT CHARITY, THIS IS WORK!

If you visited Vivienne Westwood flagship store in Conduit Street or World's End recently, You will probably see these bags being hanged around the stairs and on the mannequins.
The staffs from Conduit St. told me those bags are made in Kenya and they are all handmade by women from the marginalised communities. So it's another collaboration again!!!!
It's not the first time Vivienne collaborates with some charity groups(such as the COOL EARTH tablecloths before).
the collaboration with the Ethical Fashion Programme this time is quite different because it's not only giving the women some money. The programme supports those women by giving them some work to do and help them to build up some useful skills for the future.

Besides handmade, the other selling point is all the bags are from recycled materials.
I love the "GET A LIFE" most because it's from advertisement banners or tent.
Each of them is very unique(as you can see in the photo).
The patchwork lining of recycled t-shirts is my other favourite too.

For supporting Vivienne's "DO IT YOURSELF" idea, I am making my own bag very soon and I will show you guys the process here!
